Yeowch!

July 10th, 2012

Well, this place has become the House of Perpetual Construction… we have found a leak in the wall right below the master bathroom sinks, it is making the kitchen wet. Hmmm…… I am wondering what it is I am taking away from this? I’m not panicking, but I’ll admit I’m getting tired of living life like this (house a mess, strangers in here all the time, cats locked up in bedrooms, dogs on edge from noise and said strangers). It is like I have invited Chaos into my house and it is here to stay!

It does seem funny for me to complain, because obviously we have the money to get this work done. But then there’s part of the problem–we are paying money to have this done! And that means we are paying money for our house to be a mess, to have strangers in here… well, you get the point.

It seems that every time we turn a corner, i.e. progress is being made, some new chaos asserts itself and we are set back again. One step forward, two steps back, or perhaps one step back. I mean, there is nothing that can’t be fixed, I know that. It’s just that the original Plan did not include the added bonus chaos that has appeared.

Perhaps it’s like my inner clearing; pull up one board and I find a different yet related ick that needs to be addressed. Maybe, like my inner work, I can look at these newly revealed issues and be grateful that they have come up for air. Or in this case a visit from the plumber.

Life goes on, and in the very big picture I can see how very blessed I am, how very beautiful life is. The other day I had a few really nice breakthroughs, all in one day! I was so happy and felt so powerful… and then I looked up to the sky and said, don’t take this as me getting cocky! I am not asking for some test to show that I’ve got it all figured out!!

In the end, if all that I have to “deal with” is a leak, then I am very grateful indeed. I truly appreciate the Universe and the abundance that it is. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to figure out how to make breakfast while the kitchen wall is being torn up…
