Only Me

May 18th, 2012

I read something recently about bringing our Higher Self into our hearts, acknowledging that there is no separation nor has there ever been. (Sorry, I can’t remember where I read this, but if I do I’ll update this entry.) The point seemed to be that rather than sensing our higher selves as something above or outside of us, that we recognize it for what it is—Us!

My Higher Self is Me. It always has been and always will be. My higher self then resides within, not above or outside. My higher self, or my soul, is always connected to the whole. I am always connected to the whole. Being Here Now is all I need. There is nothing outside of All or Me; and I do mean “or” since I am the all, or at least part of it if you want to look at it that way, and so there is nothing external.

I know, this is all rather esoteric, just words about something that already is, but hey it’s a blog so it’s going to be only words. Still, the words that inspired me were truly, well, inspiring so I want to share them with you.

It’s funny how this growing awareness of Oneness, and therefore hugeness, is accompanied by a growing awareness of my unique perspective (and of course all of the unique perspectives that we each embody). It reminds me of something Gary Bonnell wrote: we are all unique and equal. Now this is probably not new to anyone who is studying these kinds of things, and it wasn’t new to Gary, either, if you think about it. But it zinged me just the same when I read it.

Anyways, I am sensing the beauty of the giant picture, and the immense variety of expression here on Earth. It is finally occurring to me that I can never be anyone but Me. And thankfully so because the richness of this experience would be diminished if I could. This Me is unique and encompasses everything, all at the same time.

Well, I know we are all aware of this at some level. It’s just kind of fun finding out. The adventure continues and I am enjoying the ride!
